About Us

Hi, I’m Dee. I created this website to explain how and why we should follow Jesus. My goal is simple: get straight to the point about Jesus and salvation.

I grew up in a Southern Baptist church where we dressed up every Sunday. As a teenager, I was so uncomfortable in my “Sunday best” that I didn’t pay much attention to the sermons.

But somehow, the message still reached me.

I didn’t truly understand God’s Word until I attended 1st Independent Baptist Church in Larimore, North Dakota. There, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior and was baptized. I was excited and wanted to tell everyone about Jesus. For the first time, I was in a church where I could take notes and really learn what the Bible says—and how it applies to my life.

Later, when I moved, I struggled with doubt. I kept asking myself, “Was I really saved?” and “Did I truly accept the Lord?” Because of that doubt, I ended up accepting Christ and being baptized multiple times at different churches.

Eventually, I moved to Missouri and attended First Baptist Church of Florissant for a few years. I even encouraged my mother to get involved. But over time, I stopped attending and drifted away from church.

Then I was diagnosed with cancer.

Many people prayed for me. The type of cancer I had is often only discovered after death, and my doctor struggled to diagnose it. He even consulted with other doctors to figure it out. I truly believe that by the grace of God, I was healed.

After my recovery, I moved closer to family and began attending church again with my cousin—the same cousin who first introduced me to 1st Independent Baptist Church and played a big role in leading me to Christ.

Seeing what God had done for me changed everything. I became more involved in church, started spending time in the Word each morning, and began sharing my faith with others.

Because I don’t get many opportunities to talk to people in my line of work, I created this website.

You’ll notice it’s simple and straight to the point. I don’t like a lot of reading—long emails and messages aren’t for me. So if you’re like me, this site is for you. It’s designed to be clear, direct, and focused on the message of the Gospel.

Yes, this is a bit longer than the rest of the site—but I wanted you to know the person behind it.
