- 6 For jeg så engang ut av vinduet på mitt hus, gjennem mitt gitter,
- 7 og da så jeg blandt de uerfarne, jeg blev var blandt de unge en uforstandig gutt,
- 8 som gikk forbi på gaten ved hennes hjørne og gikk frem på veien til hennes hus,
- 9 i skumringen, da dagen var til ende, i dyp natt og mørke.
- 10 Da kom en kvinne ham i møte i en skjøges klær og med svikefullt hjerte.
- 11 Vill er hun og kåt; hennes føtter er ikke i ro i hennes hus.
- 12 Snart er hun på gater, snart på torver, og ved hvert hjørne lurer hun.
- 13 Og hun tok fatt på ham og kysset ham, og med frekt åsyn sa hun til ham:
- 14 Takkoffer skulde jeg bære frem, og idag har jeg innfridd mine løfter;
- 15 derfor gikk jeg ut for å møte dig, for å søke dig op, og jeg fant dig.
- 16 Jeg har bredt tepper over min seng, brokete tepper av egyptisk garn.
- 17 Jeg har strødd mitt leie med myrra, aloë og kanel.
- 18 Kom, la oss beruse oss i kjærlighet inntil morgenen, fryde oss i elskov!
- 19 For min mann er ikke hjemme, han er reist langt bort;
- 20 pengepungen tok han med sig, først ved fullmåne kommer han hjem.
- 21 Hun fikk lokket ham ved sin sterke overtalelse, ved sine glatte leber forførte hun ham.
- 22 Han følger henne straks, lik en okse som går til slakterbenken, som i fotjern, hvormed dåren tuktes,
- 23 inntil pilen kløver hans lever - likesom fuglen haster til snaren og ikke vet at det gjelder dens liv.
- 24 Så hør nu på mig, barn, og akt på min munns ord!
- 25 La ikke ditt hjerte vende sig til hennes veier, forvill dig ikke inn på hennes stier!
- 26 For mange som har fått ulivssår, har hun fellet, og mangfoldige er de hun har slått ihjel;
- 27 fra hennes hus går veier til dødsriket, de fører ned til dødens kammere.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
