- 1 Para todas las cosas hay sazón; y todo lo que quisiereis debajo del cielo, tiene su tiempo determinado.
- 2 Tiempo de nacer, y tiempo de morir: tiempo de plantar, y tiempo de arrancar lo plantado:
- 3 Tiempo de matar, y tiempo de curar: tiempo de destruir, y tiempo de edificar:
- 4 Tiempo de llorar, y tiempo de reír: tiempo de endechar, y tiempo de bailar:
- 5 Tiempo de esparcir las piedras, y tiempo de allegar las piedras: tiempo de abrazar, y tiempo de alejarse del abrazar:
- 6 Tiempo de buscar, y tiempo de perder: tiempo de guardar, y tiempo de echar:

- 9 ¿Qué tiene más el que trabaja en lo que trabaja?
- 10 Yo he visto la ocupación que Dios dio a los hijos de los hombres, para que en ella se ocupasen.
- 11 Todo lo hizo hermoso en su tiempo, y aun el mundo dio a su corazón, de tal manera que no alcance el hombre esta obra de Dios desde el principio hasta el cabo.
- 12 Yo he conocido que no hay mejor para ellos, que alegrarse, y hacer bien en su vida.
- 13 Y también que es don de Dios, que todo hombre coma y beba, y goce de todo su trabajo.
- 14 He entendido, que todo lo que Dios hace eso será perpetuo: sobre aquello no se añadirá, ni de ello se disminuirá; porque Dios hace, para que teman los hombres delante de él.
- 15 Aquello que fue, ya es; y lo que ha de ser ya fue; y Dios restaura lo que pasó.
- 16 ¶ Ví más debajo del sol: en lugar del juicio, allí la impiedad; y en lugar de la justicia, allí la iniquidad.
- 17 Y yo dije en mi corazón: Al justo y al impío juzgará Dios, porque allí hay tiempo determinado a todo lo que quisiereis, y sobre todo lo que se hace.
- 18 ¶ Dije en mi corazón acerca de la condición de los hijos de los hombres, que Dios los hizo escogidos; y es para ver, que ellos sean bestias los unos a los otros.
- 19 Porque el suceso de los hijos de los hombres, y el suceso del animal, el mismo suceso es; como mueren los unos, así mueren los otros; y una misma respiración tienen todos; ni tiene más el hombre que la bestia; porque todo es vanidad.
- 20 Todo va a un lugar; todo es hecho del polvo; y todo se tornará en el mismo polvo.
- 21 ¿Quién sabe si el espíritu de los hijos de los hombres suba arriba, y el espíritu del animal descienda debajo de la tierra?
- 22 Así que he visto que no hay bien, mas que alegrarse el hombre con lo que hiciere; porque esta es su parte: porque ¿quién le llevará para que vea lo que ha de ser después de él?

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
