- 1 Aconteceu pois que, no decurso de um anno, no tempo em que os reis costumam sair para a guerra, Joab levou o exercito, e destruiu a terra dos filhos de Ammon, e veiu, e cercou a Rabba, porém David ficou em Jerusalem: e Joab feriu a Rabba, e a destruiu.
- 2 E David tirou da cabeça do rei a corôa d'este, e achou n'ella o peso d'um talento de oiro, e havia n'ella pedras preciosas; e foi posta sobre a cabeça de David: e levou da cidade mui grande despojo.
- 3 Tambem o povo que estava n'ella levou, e os fez serrar com a serra, e cortar com talhadeiras de ferro e com machados; e assim fez David com todas as cidades dos filhos de Ammon: então voltou David, com todo o povo, para Jerusalem.
- 4 E depois d'isto aconteceu que, levantando-se guerra em Gazer, com os philisteos, então Sibbechai, o husathita, feriu a Sippai, dos filhos de Rapha: e ficaram abatidos.
- 5 E tornou a haver guerra com os philisteos: e Elhanan, filho de Jair, feriu a Lahmi, irmão de Goliath, o getheo, cuja haste da lança era como orgão de tecelão.
- 6 E tornou a haver guerra em Gath: e havia ali um homem de grande estatura, e tinha vinte e quatro dedos, seis em cada mão, e seis em cada pé, e tambem era da raça de Rapha.
- 7 E injuriou a Israel: porém Jonathan, filho de Simea, irmão de David, o feriu.
- 8 Estes nasceram a Rapha em Gath: e cairam pela mão de David e pela mão dos seus servos.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
