- 1 Pezo de Tyro. Uivai, navios de Tharsis, porque já assolada está até n'ella casa nenhuma mais ficar e n'ella ninguem mais entrar: desde a terra de Chittim lhes foi isto revelado.
- 2 Calae-vos, moradores da ilha, vós a quem encheram os mercadores de Sidon, navegando pelo mar.
- 3 E a sua provisão era a semente de Sichor, que vinha com as muitas aguas da sega do rio, e era a feira das nações.
- 4 Envergonha-te, ó Sidon, porque já o mar, a fortaleza do mar, falla, dizendo: Eu não tive dôres de parto, nem pari, nem ainda creei mancebos, nem eduquei donzellas.
- 5 Como com as novas do Egypto, assim haverá dôres quando se ouvirem as de Tyro.
- 6 Passae a Tharsis: uivae, moradores da ilha.
- 7 É esta porventura a vossa cidade que andava pulando de alegria? cuja antiguidade é dos dias antigos? pois leval-a-hão os seus proprios pés para longe andarem a peregrinar.
- 8 Quem formou este designio contra Tyro, a coroadora? cujos mercadores são principes e cujos negociantes os mais nobres da terra?
- 9 O Senhor dos Exercitos formou este designio para profanar a soberba de todo o ornamento, e envilecer os mais nobres da terra.
- 10 Passa-te como rio pela tua terra, ó filha de Tharsis, pois já não ha precinta.
- 11 A sua mão estendeu sobre o mar, e turbou os reinos: o Senhor deu mandado contra Canaan, que se destruissem as suas fortalezas.
- 12 E disse: Nunca mais pularás de alegria, ó opprimida donzella, filha de Sidon: levanta-te, passa a Chittim, e ainda ali não terás descanço.
- 13 Vêde a terra dos chaldeos, ainda este povo não era povo; a Assyria o fundou para os que moravam no deserto: levantaram as suas fortalezas, e edificaram os seus paços; porém a arruinou de todo.
- 14 Uivae, navios de Tharsis, porque já é destruida a vossa força.
- 15 E será n'aquelle dia que Tyro será posta em esquecimento por setenta annos, como os dias d'um rei: porém no fim de setenta annos haverá em Tyro cantigas, como a cantiga d'uma prostituta.
- 16 Toma a harpa, rodeia a cidade, ó prostituta entregue ao esquecimento; toca bem, canta e repete a aria, para que haja memoria de ti.
- 17 Porque será no fim de setenta annos que o Senhor visitará a Tyro, e se tornará á sua ganancia de prostituta, e fornicará com todos os reinos da terra que ha sobre a face da terra.
- 18 E o seu commercio e a sua ganancia de prostituta será consagrado ao Senhor; não se enthesourará, nem se fechará; mas o seu commercio será para os que habitam perante o Senhor, para que comam até se saciarem, e tenham vestimenta duravel.

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
