傳道書 4
- 1 我 又轉念,見 日光 之下 所 行的 一切 欺壓。看哪,受欺壓的 流淚,且無人 安慰; 欺壓他們的 有勢力,也無人 安慰 他們。
- 2 因此,我 讚歎 那 早已 死的 死人,勝過 那 還 活著 的活人。
- 3 並且我以為 那 未 曾 生的,就是 未 見過 日光 之下 惡 事的,比這兩等人 更強。
- 4 我 又見 人為 一切的 勞碌和 各樣 靈巧的 工作 就 被鄰舍 嫉妒。這 也 是虛空,也是捕 風。
- 5 愚昧人 抱著 手,吃 自己的肉。
- 6 滿了 一把,得享安靜,強 如滿了 兩把,勞碌 捕 風。
- 7 我 又轉念,見 日光 之下 有一件虛空的事:
- 8 有 人孤單 無 二, 無 子 無 兄,竟 勞碌 不 息,眼目 也 不 以錢財 為足。他說:「我 勞勞碌碌,刻苦 自己,不享福樂,到底是為誰呢?」這 也 是虛空,是 極重的 勞苦。
- 9 兩個人 總比 一個人 好,因為 二人勞碌 同得 美好的 果效。
- 10 若 是跌倒,這人 可以扶起 他的同伴;若是孤身 跌倒,沒有 別人 扶起他來,這人就有禍了。
- 11 再者, 二人 同睡 就都暖和,一人 獨睡怎能 暖和呢?
- 12 有人攻勝 孤身一人,若 有二人 便能敵擋 他;三股合成 的繩子 不 容易 折斷。
- 13 貧窮 而有智慧 的少年人 勝過 年老 不 肯 納諫 的愚昧 王。
- 14 這人 是從 監牢中 出來 作王,在他國中,生來 原是 貧窮的。
- 15 我見 日光 之下 一切 行動 的活人 都隨從 那第二位,就是 起來 代替 老王的少年人。
- 16 他所治理的 眾人 就是 他的百姓,多得無 數;在他後來的人 尚且 不 喜悅 他。這 真 是虛空,也是捕 風。

Basic Hash Usage Explained
At getBible, we've established a robust system to keep our API synchronized with the Crosswire project's modules. Let me explain how this integration works in simple terms.
We source our Bible text directly from the Crosswire modules. To monitor any updates, we generate "hash values" for each chapter, book, and translation. These hash values serve as unique identifiers that change only when the underlying content changes, thereby ensuring a tight integration between getBible and the Crosswire modules.
Every month, an automated process runs for approximately three hours. During this window, we fetch the latest Bible text from the Crosswire modules. Subsequently, we compare the new hash values and the text with the previous ones. Any detected changes trigger updates to both our official getBible hash repository and the Bible API for all affected translations. This system has been operating seamlessly for several years.
Once the updates are complete, any application utilizing our Bible API should monitor the hash values at the chapter, book, or translation level. Spotting a change in these values indicates that they should update their respective systems.
Hash values can change due to various reasons, including textual corrections like adding omitted verses, rectifying spelling errors, or addressing any discrepancies flagged by the publishers maintaining the modules at Crosswire.
The Crosswire initiative, also known as the SWORD Project, is the "source of truth" for getBible. Any modifications in the Crosswire modules get reflected in our API within days, ensuring our users access the most precise and current Bible text. We pledge to uphold this standard as long as getBible exists and our build scripts remain operational.
